Chris has over fifty years’ experience in financial services. His extensive career, includes a considerable period at Legal and General having started as a mortgage, protection and wealth adviser, before going on to lead teams of financial advisers at all levels, including running a number of external businesses as Managing Director and CEO, as part of the Group CEO’s top team.
When he retired from executive life in 2013, he continued his passion for corporate governance through NED positions and consulted, both in the UK and abroad as a subject matter expert for one of the top four advisory firms. Chris brings a considerable depth of experience to his role of Chair of Lifetime Connect and plays an instrumental role in promoting the corporate governance framework.
In addition to this, Chris’s other passions are music (he plays piano and has been a Director of a professional Chamber Orchestra), and staying active through sport, particularly golf and skiing.
